Girls’ Technology Day 2026: just do it

Girls’ Technology Day exists to show that technical fields are not just for a select group.
We demonstrate that interior construction is a profession for anyone who wants to create something that works.

In our workshop, we also have female colleagues. They show every day how normal that is.
A day like this makes it visible and brings it closer.

On April 2, our workshop was filled with over 103 first-year students from De Kempenhorst.

A day to show the girls how enjoyable the profession of interior builder can be.

We started with a short tour. Machines running, materials to explore, experiencing how it works. Then the girls got to work themselves.

Everyone made a jewelry stand. Well prepared, so the focus was on making. Guided by colleagues Mieke, Dani, Senn and Mark, each step was built up carefully. What is a miter joint? How do you achieve a clean, precise finish?
No long explanations. Just do it. And see that it works.

On behalf of the Expertisecentrum Meubel, everyone received a backpack with information about education and practical items. A step towards the furniture trade. Thanks for that.

Over 100 girls created something they were proud of. The enthusiasm was immediately visible on social media. Their work was shared, liked and viewed.

We selected three winners with the best show-off.
They will receive a Rituals present.

The winners are: Saz, Levie and Fenna.

Redie makes the craft more enjoyable.

On to more makers.
